“ AMAZING! I heard about this restaurant and knew I had to try it. So, on a Saturday late morning I drove over 2 hours (lots of traffic) to have lunch with some friends. This ending up being a trip to culinary delight! WOW! Amazing! Delicious! The dak galbi was super flavorful, had tons of chicken and the sides were perfect! I can't wait to go again....for me, it was worth every second of the drive! ”
“ Came in here to just grab a quick dinner alone after work and saw they had something new! I usually come with my husband and always get the dakgalbi or intestine casserole but since it was just myself, needed something for a single person so went ahead and tried it. it's called the cheesy buldak, a dish where the buldak noodles originate from. You. A pick spice level on this dish so i asked for the spiciest they can do. Food came out on a big hot skillet plate. Cheese was bubbling, chicken was SPICY and flavorful. You can add extra toppings like the dak galbi. Comes with a side of fish and side dishes. Portion was great for a single person. Definitely would get again, maybe would try to add some thing next time like the ramen noodles mmm ”
“ One thing I love about my husband is that we are always on the same wavelength when it comes to our cravings. I didn't know he was craving chicken galbi lately so when I chose this restaurant for dinner he was so excited. We came for dinner with a friend and we ordered two orders of the chicken galbi with dumplings, rice cake, udon noodles, and extra veges on the side. My husband and our friend also wanted the jaeyook bokeum (spicy pork stir fry). Everything was so good and the fried rice they make for you at the end with the remainder of the chicken sauce is seriously the best fried rice I've had in a LONG time. Also I loved that the service was fantastic. The employee working was so kind and very attentive. My husband usually drinks a ton of water with his meals and she was always refilling his cup. Also because our side dishes were so delicious I decided to buy 6 side dishes that they sell separately, I noticed there were many delicious looking side dishes and the extra plus side was that there were many vegetable-based side dishes. Can't wait to try them all the next few days! I found out they've been open for ten years. I am sad that I've missed out on such delicious food and excellent service for the past few years but I'm glad I found this place now so that we can start dining here regularly. We are motivated to come here more often since it's close to where our friend lives so it gives us more of a reason to visit! ”
“ Came here on other Yelper comments and recommendations. We are still in the midst of SoCal May Gray and soup seemed like the perfect meal. I was a solo early lunch customer, and the owner chef Miss Kim was also the server. Most popular dish her is meant for sharing : Dak Galbi so I'll have to come back to try that. I got the seafood and noodle soup today and that was the perfect choice. Nice chew on the flour noodles, generous amount of clams, mussels and shrimp plus a lot of shredded vegetables. The clear soup had a great depth of seafood flavor and was served steaming hot, probably could have shared this with someone else! Place is about the same size as most other Korean restaurants in this area, and each seems to have a specific menu and style of cooking. I loved all the banchan here: bean sprouts, cucumbers, kimchi and seaweed salad: all are made in house. Miss Kim also has several other banchan for sale, on display in a double refrigerator. Quiet and homey atmosphere. Support local and Asian owned businesses! In the same plaza as 7-11 and Tutor zone. ”
“ I've been looking for a dakgalbi place in oc for the longest time and saw this place on yelp! We got two servings of dakgalbi as well as a seafood pancake. The dakgalbi was so flavorful and I loved the bokkeumbap that comes with it after. The seafood pancake was so crispy and paired well with the dipping sauce, also their side dishes were really good! They even sell side dishes to take home as well. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy! There was only one auntie working but she was super sweet and came by to check up on us often!! Will definitely come back soon ”
“ The food here is super comforting and will make you want more. The dak galbi is super flavorful with lots of tender chicken. Don't forget to get the extra sides as I recommend the fried glass noodles wrapped in seaweed and some kind of noodle ( I got udon). I love cheese but I don't think it was worth because they don't give you much and it doesn't really add to the dish. You have a choice the get rice with the dish or after to make fried rice. I think I would get the rice in the side instead of the fried rice because it didn't have too much flavor and the rice by itself might compliment the dish better overall. The seafood pancake wasn't the best I've had but still good. The best were the banchan though which they sell packages to take home! The place is pretty small so I wouldn't come in big groups. There's about 6-8 tables so you may have to wait if it's crowded. The server was super kind and was working hard despite working alone too. There's not many dak galbi places in OC so definitely come here! ”
“ A hidden treasure. A friend brought me here and now I am a big fan as well. Love fresh food they are serving. Authentic Korean home food. ”
“ What the Mhat? Delicious! We were looking for something different, delicious, and some thing off the beaten path. Quiet, and modest in a small strip mall. This tiny place has some amazing Korean food. The gal that works there was super helpful in recommending some delicious food- Soon doo boo- a piping hot - boiling bowl of spicy kimchi soup full of flavor; chock full of silken tofu and beef this dish will make you warm and toasty inside and out. Spicy level is about a 6/10 Gun Mandu - pan fried pork dumplings yum! Tender crisp wrapper with an inside that is full of flavor. The dipping sauce is absolutely packs a touch of heat (spice) but overall not hot and good for kids too spice level is about a 2/10 Jeyug bokk eum - so far our favorite dish here. Thinly sliced marinated pork belly is stir fried with cabbage, Kim chi and other vegetables to make an incredibly flavorful meal. Heat level 7/10 Our meals were served with rice and side dishes (banchan) that I could just eat on my own. And, as a matter fact, if you want to take them home, they have a refrigerator full of ready to go Banchan. We absolutely fell in love with the food and have been back multiple times trying different menu items. Not one bad thing on the menu! ”
“ The best chicken rib restaurant in OC. The staff are friendly and know what they are doing. Not many choices for good Dak Galbi here in OC - you would have to go to Ktown for that. But this place was really good. Don't forget to get the fried rice at the end. ”
“ I took one look at the photos of their Dak Galbi (Korean Spicy Chicken Stir Fry) and was completely sold. Dropping by on a cold winter night with a group of friends, a healthy helping of Dak Galbi was just what we needed to warm up! It features chicken leg meat, boiled eggs, rice cake, perilla leaves, mixed veggies, and their house special spicy sauce. You can also opt for additional toppings and adjust how many servings you order to account for your party. SO addicting, but also SO spicy! Make sure to have some water or rice on hand if you're not too great with spice. At the end of the meal, you can request for them to make fried rice from the leftovers on the pan! The perfect way to finish up! We also ordered the Galbi Tang (Beef Rib Soup). The meat was fall-off-the-bone tender and the broth was warm yet refreshing and healing. Super yummy! ”
